What will I be doing?
The Steward (Dishwasher) is to ensure that all dishes and pots are properly washed and stored in their designated areas; all dishwashing areas are kept clean and orderly at all times. They are also responsible for the removal of all waste grease, all kitchen garbage and recycling to proper disposal areas. The Steward will ensure to abide by all Legislated Health and Safety requirements, and Hotel Health and Safety Policies while performing every function of their position. The Steward will have a demonstrated commitment and passion to maximizing Guest satisfaction in each stage of the Guest experience.
Experience & Skills

Previous dishwashing experience is an asset, not a requirement

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as cooperatively within a team setting

Demonstrated ability to complete additional tasks that may be assigned by the Chef and Supervisors

Outstanding attention to detail in properly identifying cleanliness standards of dishware, cutlery, glassware and any additional utensils
Requirements

Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check to the hotel’s satisfaction.

Must be able to able all shifts including weekends and holidays

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
