Experienced Physiotherapy Clinic Receptionist / Physiotherapy Assistant

We are looking for an experienced and professional Receptionist / Physiotherapy Assistant to join our busy and growing physiotherapy clinic. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, or other healthcare clinic setting and be comfortable managing a fast-paced front desk environment.
Experience billing to Alberta Blue Cross, Telus eClaims, Sun Life, and other insurance providers, as well as experience using, will be considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients professionally and warmly
- Answer and manage multi-line phone calls efficiently
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments accurately
- Manage patient bookings, cancellations, recalls, and waitlists
- Perform direct billing to insurance companies and handle payment processing
- Work with MVA, WCB, and extended health benefit claims
- Liaise professionally with insurance adjusters, case managers, and law offices regarding patient files and documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinic documentation
- Use for scheduling, billing, chart management, and administrative tasks
- Coordinate with physiotherapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, and other practitioners
- Assist physiotherapists with patient flow and physiotherapy aiding duties as needed
- Set up and clean treatment areas and equipment
- Guide patients through prescribed modalities under physiotherapist direction
- Assist with clinic laundry, towel cleaning, and maintaining overall clinic cleanliness
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic environment throughout the day
- Assist with general administrative and office duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience working in a physiotherapy or healthcare clinic
- Previous experience with preferred
- Excellent typing speed and strong computer/data entry skills
- Experience assisting physiotherapists or working as a physiotherapy assistant is an asset
- Strong understanding of direct billing, insurance claims, MVA, and WCB processes
- Experience communicating with insurance adjusters and lawyers is an asset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional phone etiquette and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
