Job Summary
Ocean Track is a new company to Nanaimo BC. We are a Truck Pro dealer and we specialise in heavy equipment from on-road, off-road, marine and we are a CVSE-designated inspection facility. The successful candidate will work safely and efficiently, help with customer service, billing, maintain strong housekeeping standards, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot repairs across a mixed vehicle fleet.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines
- Test and repair hydraulic systems (training can be provided if needed)
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
- Diagnose and repair air systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and small equipment
- Fabricate and weld parts when required
- Order parts and maintain inventory
- Record and maintain accurate work orders and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- CVI inspections
Qualifications & Experience:
- Authorized CVI inspector
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a HDET
- Fleet maintenance experience is an asset
- Must supply own tools
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence required (Class 1 or 3 with air brakes is an asset)

Schedule:
- 8-hour or 10- hour shifts
- Monday to Friday or 4 day on 3 days off
- Overtime as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50.00-$57.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Mechanic: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
