Job Overview
Hey! We are on the hunt for some talented carpenters for exterior work on residential homes. We've been in business since 2006 so we know our stuff. (If you made it to the Home Show you would have seen us with the largest booth, right up front.)
Currently, we are in growth mode and it's all hands-on deck. Our team has a keen eye for detail, are accurate with their measurements, and take pride in their workmanship.
We are looking for an experienced, talented person who is adaptable, and is a team player as this job requires excellent communication and a readiness to help out where needed.
We want you to be ready to learn and to be open to leveling-up your skills. And while we would love for you to have ALL the skills, we can't expect that. If you have experience installing the following list of goodies, that would be a plus, but if you don't, it's not necessarily a deal-breaker:
Experience installing the following would be great: windows, casings, doors and hardware, Hardie siding and Smartboard Trim, small additions, complete re-builds of verandas and decks, fit and service work and repairs or maintenance as needed. Build floor substrates for additions, decks and verandas, install deck and veranda pillars and beams, stairs, lay sub-flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools as well as strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods is preferred.
Must have own hand tools and reliable transportation.
Work has to get done, but you must have the willingness to comply with safety guidelines at all times. Knowledge of how to read blueprints, drawings and sketches is, obviously, an asset.
