The Team
The Salmon Arm Court Registry is an established team of five professionals dedicated to supporting the judicial system at both the Provincial and Supreme Court levels. This team works closely with Court Clerks, Registry Technicians, Justices of the Peace, and supervisory staff to deliver court services and ensure access to justice for everyone in the community. Known for their collaborative and inclusive approach, the team values accuracy, service excellence, and fostering a supportive workplace where everyone feels respected and empowered.
The Role
As a Court Clerk, you will provide vital administrative support to both the Supreme and Provincial Courts, helping ensure efficient and fair court processes. Your responsibilities include preparing courtrooms, managing exhibits, maintaining accurate files, and using technology to streamline case tracking systems. By improving the court experience for citizens through efficient processes and exceptional service, you’ll have a direct impact on the community. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent
- Two years of office experience, or minimum of one year education, experience or training in a legal related field and one year of office experience.
- Experience in working with various digital systems and applications.
- Must have a minimum keyboarding speed of 40 WPM.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in JUSTIN and/or CEIS or experience working in a court registry.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience delivering customer service.

About this Position:
This is a temporary appointment until March 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary vacancies.
