Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood and Community Health Centre (DPNCHC) is a multi-service community agency providing programs and services to diverse participants who are marginalized due to socioeconomic barriers. We work from a community development and health promotion perspective. Our Health Centre operates a busy, complex practice. Our multi-disciplinary team of nurses, nurse practitioners, dietitian, and physiotherapist are seeking an energetic family physician who will provide primary health care and health promotion to the individuals and families in our community. We are expanding our services and seeking a physician responsible for building a new practice as part our team. This expansion of services will deepen our work with both Black-identified community members and youth. As a result, we are inviting members of the Black community to apply.
Qualifications:
- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Physicians of Ontario
- CCFP certification preferred
- Membership with any of the following organizations are assets:
o Black Healthcare Professionals Network
o Black Health Alliance
o Black Physicians Association of Ontario
o Black Physicians of Canada.
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a community-based organization working with people of diverse cultures
- Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of community-based health-care delivery
- Understanding and sensitivity in working with a high need priority population
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of an inter-disciplinary health care team in a patient focused organization
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset
- Some evening hours will be required.
Start date: ASAP.
Salary Range: $267,576-$292,365 per annum plus, extended health benefits and Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). This position is not part of the bargaining unit.
