Desired Qualifications: The candidate should have Bachelor / Masters in Accounting degree, with strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
. Preferred candidate should have worked in a food manufacturing environment.
· Minimum 3 years’ work experience in accounts payable, accounts receivables, accruals & prepayment, general ledger, & payroll
· Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
. Strong knowledge of ERP systems in manufacturing organization, proficiency in Power BI is a must, Microsoft Office, Excel functions & formulas like (VLOOKUPs, Pivot table) and Word
· Extensive experience with data entry, financial record keeping and computer operations
Position Description:
.* Account Payable: *Oversee full accounts payable cycle including matching procurement orders with vendor invoices, getting the required approvals, and timely process of the invoices in ERP system for vendor payments
. Track customer payments and issue credit memo in the system for customer deductions
. Maintain accurate, up to date accounts by recording daily financial transactions, month end inventory adjustments, accrual & prepayments for monthly financial statements.
. Keep track of company credit card transactions in ERP system and reconcile monthly for timely payments.
. Assist the accounting team with monthly reconciliations
. Filing of HST returns and timely remittances of payroll source deductions, and WSIB.
. Assist in year end finalization for tax filing with external accountants
. Liaison with IT team on master data set ups into the ERP system & new process implementation
. Up-date sales dashboard for Sales team on Power BI platform
· Submitting blue bin supply data to blue bin government organization and reporting it to producer’s responsibility organization (PRO) for Ontario & Alberta on yearly basis.
