Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Evening Shift Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations during the evening hours. This leadership role is vital in ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives are maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong Welding knowledge and a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a fast-paced environment focused on process optimization and supply chain management.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities during the evening shift, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
- Lead assembly operations, providing guidance and support to team members to optimize workflow.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes and identifying opportunities for enhancements.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address mechanical issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Prepare shift reports, document operational issues, and communicate effectively with management regarding progress and challenges.
Qualifications
- Welding experience is an asset, ability to obtain tickets if required.
- Proven experience in manufacturing supervision or leadership roles within a production environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement strategies, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of quality control standards and assembly processes within manufacturing settings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively during the evening shift.
- Ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions for process optimization.
- Prior experience working with ERP systems such as SAP is highly desirable. This role is integral to maintaining operational excellence during the evening hours while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
