What You'll Do
- Teach approximately 40 hours per week in the HCA program, blending classroom theory and hands-on lab skills
- Deliver lessons using established curriculum in collaboration with the Program Coordinator
- Support student learning by explaining concepts, providing constructive feedback, and offering guidance
- Supervise students during clinical placements at local care facilities in the Kelowna area
- Communicate with placement supervisors to monitor student performance and address concerns
- Participate in occasional team meetings and contribute to ongoing program improvement
What We Need From You
Required (Non-negotiable—set by BCCACHWR)
- Current unrestricted full registration as an RN, LPN, or RPN with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Minimum 2 years full-time Canadian nursing experience (at least 2,800 hours)
- Strong knowledge of Canadian healthcare and genuine passion for working with older adults and in community care settings
- Proven ability to teach adult learners. e.g. team lead or supervising/mentoring experience (Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent experience is an asset)

- Strong organizational, leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
