Kind Steps ABA offers behavioural and educational services to children and families affected by autism. Our approach is founded on the evidence-based principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). We strive to reduce behaviours that interfere with daily functioning and teach meaningful skills across developmental domains, including communication, social interaction, self-help, play, motor, and cognitive skills.
We are currently seeking a Supervised Instructor Therapist to provide direct 1:1 ABA services to a 9-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Ajax, Ontario. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and are looking to supplement their existing caseload with additional hours.
The successful candidate will work closely with the supervising R.B.A./BCBA to implement individualized treatment goals and support the child's progress in a positive and engaging manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA intervention to a 9-year-old child with ASD in a 1:1 setting in the child's home in Ajax
- Implement skill acquisition and behaviour reduction programs developed by the Program Supervisor
- Collect and record accurate session data
- Complete session notes and required documentation in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Attend supervision meetings and participate in ongoing training
- Work collaboratively with the supervising R.B.A./BCBA to ensure treatment integrity
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with ASD is preferred
- Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis principles is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following treatment protocols
- Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Behaviour Analysis, Child and Youth Care, or a related field is preferred
- Students pursuing studies in related disciplines are encouraged to apply

Job Type
Part-time, Contract
Compensation
$25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
- Approximately 4 hours per week
- Two evenings per week (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
- This position is intended as an additional caseload opportunity for therapists seeking to supplement their current work schedule
- Potential for increased hours based on client needs and therapist availability
