Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently hiring a Roadside Mobile Diesel Technician / Mechanic for our client in Laval, Quebec. This is a fully mobile field service role supporting commercial truck fleets and customers throughout the Laval area.

You’ll work directly at customer locations performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance using advanced tools and equipment.

- Perform mobile diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and fleet equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance services on-site
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines
- Repair transmissions, clutches, PTO systems, differentials, and driveline components
- Service electrical systems including starters, alternators, sensors, ECMs, and ECUs
- Repair HVAC, steering, suspension, and brake systems including ABS
- Replace turbochargers, injectors, cooling system components, and other engine accessories
- Conduct inspections and road tests as required
- Prepare new equipment for delivery and recondition trade-in units
- Order parts, manage inventory, and complete service documentation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant mobile workspace
- Serve as primary customer contact during service calls
- 2–4 years of heavy truck or tractor-trailer maintenance experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training or trade certification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance systems
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to work in outdoor and non-climate-controlled environments
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Class 3 or higher licence preferred
- Air brake endorsement considered an asset
- Ability to obtain required medical certification for driving duties
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
- Regular lifting up to 23 kg / 50 lbs
- Occasional lifting up to 45 kg / 100 lbs
- Ability to work safely at heights when required
- Comfortable working year-round in varying weather conditions
