Timberwolf Tours is hiring and training enthusiastic team members to lead and drive road trips through Western Canada. You learn how to deliver an amazing experience which includes day hiking trails in our National Parks, exploring cities and towns in Alberta and British Columbia and, maybe most importantly, connecting with groups from the world over during an unforgettable small group tour.
While leading multi-day trips in Western Canada guides are responsible for groups of up to twelve people. Guides drive the van, lead day hikes, organize meal preparation, keep meticulous records, and maintain daily scheduling. You learn and grow your skills during our in-house training and practice throughout the season. The challenges and responsibilities are many as are the rewards.
The minimum requirements include first aid certification, ability to obtain class 4 driver license to drive commercial vehicles, eighteen years old. IGA apprentice hiking guide or course registration which is necessary to lead day hikes in Canada’s National Parks, and the ability to speak German or French are an asset. Leadership experience and previous outdoor pursuits in the Rockies, British Columbia are an asset. In house training will add to each guide’s skill set and confidence.
Timberwolf Tours offers continuous support from beginning to end of each trip including; meal plans, detailed daily schedules, record keeping forms, Timberwolf Tourbook and twenty-four-hour phone support combined with a team of guides and preseason training. Meals and accommodation while on tour as well as accommodation between trips are included. Competitive wages increase depending on experience and qualifications.
