Purpose/Summary of Position:
This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the organization’s payroll processes and procedures. The Payroll Coordinator is an industry expert and resource in all matters related to payroll, including but not limited to: payroll, statutory and non-statutory deductions, employee benefits, staff expenses, payroll journal entry preparation and various other payroll functions.
Responsible for full-cycle payroll administration for a variety of commissioned, salary and bonus compensation for employees. Experience in RRSP, garnishment calculations and remittances and solid understanding of payroll rules and regulations. Assist and collaborate with the Financial Controller of the dealership in all accounting areas including assistance with monthly statement generation, journal entries, reconciliations and remittances, attendance and vacation tracking, benefits administration and assistance with ongoing audit compliance and other projects and initiatives as needed. Assisting the Controller in the provision of solid leadership, training and direction to the accounting department personnel to ensure attainment of business objectives.

Key Accountabilities & Objectives:
· Coordinate the full cycle payroll process for the organization
· Ensure accurate and timely submission of payrolls for hourly, salaried and commission employees.
· Deliver payroll services in compliance with provincial and federal legislation
· Ensure all legislative requirements regarding tax withholding, remittance and income reporting have been met both on-going and at year-end
· Ensure payroll data, including bonuses and vacation are processed accurately in the payroll system
· Ensure that employee transaction, as they relate to payroll data, are processed accurately
· Maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity as required for the role.
Special Requirements:
· Completion of, or active progress toward, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is considered an asset
· Experience in automobile dealership environment is preferred
· Diploma or equivalent in business and finance/accounting
· Broad knowledge and experience in compensation and benefits administration
· Valid driver’s license
· Minimum High School Diploma
· Post Secondary Education Preferred

Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
