- Review financial statements (Compilation, Review, and Audit engagements) for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with Canadian accounting standards.
- Edit and format financial statements, notes, and supplementary schedules in accordance with firm templates and professional standards.
- Ensure cross-referencing, numbering, headings, and disclosures are accurate and consistent throughout financial reports.
- Identify discrepancies, omissions, or inconsistencies and communicate required corrections to accounting staff.
- Verify financial statements align with working papers and approved trial balances.
- Maintain version control and ensure final documents are ready for partner review and client delivery.
- Provide timely turnaround while managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting terminology.
- Familiarity with Canadian GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and financial statement preparation software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional communication skills and a client-service mindset.
