Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming dining experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS system, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver prompt service without compromising quality.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to promote guest satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
- Basic knowledge of food industry standards, including serving etiquette and food safety regulations.
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
