Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shop material flow, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead hoists.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain, organize and track inventory effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly documented.
- Other shop tasks as required.
Skills
- Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving roles is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
