Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Milling Machinist/Programmer with 5–10 years of machining experience, including a minimum of 5 years of CNC programming experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience programming, setting up, and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines and be comfortable working in a low-to-high volume manufacturing environment.
This role involves programming and machining precision components, troubleshooting machining processes, and maintaining consistent quality standards. While much of the work consists of varied machining projects, candidates should also be comfortable running longer production jobs when required. The successful candidate must be a team player who is willing to assist with general production duties as needed to support overall manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate 3-axis, 4-axis horizontal, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC milling programs to maximize efficiency, quality, and tool life.
- Perform complete machine setups and changeovers.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding as required.
- Verify programs, establish work offsets, and optimize machining processes.
- Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and setup issues.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
- Run production jobs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist with other production and shop-floor duties as required to support production schedules and team objectives.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC milling programming experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently program, set up, and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, cutting parameters, workholding techniques, and process optimization.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist with production tasks outside of machining when required.

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
