Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Department & Greenhouse Associate to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in retail, horticulture, and customer service within a dynamic environment. Duties
- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and seasonal merchandise, providing knowledgeable advice on horticulture and landscape maintenance
- Maintain the greenhouse by watering, pruning, planting, and ensuring healthy plant growth
- Support Seasonal merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Coordinate and place Purchase Orders (POs) for seasonal products, plants, gardening supplies, and related inventory
- Monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment and avoid shortages during peak seasons
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, delivery schedules, and order accuracy
- Track incoming shipments and ensure products are received on time for seasonal promotions and sales events
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Manage retail sales through cashiering duties while delivering excellent customer service
- Support e-commerce operations by updating product listings and managing online orders as needed
- Perform inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment to ensure product availability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the greenhouse, retail area, and storage spaces
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English;
- Knowledge of Seasonal Business, gardening, landscape maintenance, and plant care techniques
- Experience with retail sales, cashiering, POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain displays efficiently
- Customer service skills with a friendly attitude to assist shoppers effectively
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online product management is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during the seasonal period
- Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with colleagues effectively

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
