Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Weighmaster to oversee the accurate weighing and documentation of logs in and out of our Millsite operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain precise records in accordance with the requirements of the Forest Act. This role plays a critical part in how our Millsite produces lumber for export. Candidates with prior experience, familiarity with HBS management systems, and proficiency with computers are a asset to this position.
Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing shipments using certified scales and record data accordingly
- Manage shipping & receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company standards
- Utilize PacWeigh, Avery Weigh Tronix systems and other software for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Maintain precise records of weights, quantities, and shipment details for audit purposes
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all handling and weighing procedures
- Perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts
Requirements
- Proven experience in Scale Site management, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Valid certification as a Weighmaster or relevant training preferred.
- Familiarity with HBS and Pac Weigh management systems or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of Weigh Scales, Timber Marks, Stratums, etc.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement recording and data entry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads safely and stand for extended periods during shift hours

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
