Job Description
We are looking for a Customs Rater with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our customs brokerage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for rating and processing customs entries accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with CBSA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customs entries
- Classify goods using tariff codes
- Review shipping and commercial documents
- Ensure compliance with CBSA regulations and procedures
- Communicate with importers, freight forwarders, and customs officers
- Handle release requests and customs documentation
- Resolve customs clearance issues when required
- Maintain accurate records and data entry
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of customs rating experience
- Knowledge of CBSA regulations and customs procedures
- Experience with customs software systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
