About the role
You'll be the face of Carter Gold. Customers walk in with jewellery that often carries real sentimental value, and sometimes with real financial stress. Your job is to make them feel welcome, explain how our process works, and make sure every person leaves feeling they were treated fairly — whether or not they sell.
You will: welcome customers and guide them through gold selling and loan options; assist with testing and valuations (we'll train you); handle transactions accurately and securely; keep records organized; and help both our Milton and Oshawa locations as needed.
What we're looking for
Experience in retail or customer service; comfort handling cash and high-value items (you must be bondable — trustworthiness is everything in this business); strong communication skills and patience with people making big decisions. A second language spoken in the GTA community is an asset. Most of all: we hire for attitude and train the rest. If you're honest, warm with people, and reliable, we want to meet you.
