Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Filipino Speaking Health Care Aide to join our caregiving team. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to providing exceptional patient care and supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, medication management, and overall well-being of clients in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Fluency in Filipino and English is essential to effectively communicate with clients and their families.
Duties
- Provide personalized patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support with medication administration following prescribed instructions
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting and transferring
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to healthcare professionals
- Assist with dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during caregiving activities
- Document care provided accurately in client records
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia or disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices, medication administration, and safety procedures required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for patient mobility assistance
- Strong communication skills in Filipino and English to effectively interact with clients and their families
- Certification in caregiving or relevant health care training is a plus but not mandatory
