Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking Farm Labourer to join our crew. The ideal candidate has a positive 'can do' attitude. This role requires physical stamina, mental toughness, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team.
Duties
- Primary role is crop maintenance including hand weeding, hoeing, watering and fertilizing
- General maintenance including pruning, mowing, turning over crops.
- Bed preparation including shaping beds, laying landscape fabric, spreading organic amendments
- Planting new crops
- Harvesting
- Washing and packing vegetables for markets
- Delivering vegetables to CSA customers weekly
- Work the farmers market each Saturday selling and stocking tables
Qualifications
- Previous experience labouring is preferred but not required.
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Ability to work in various body positions (kneeling/standing).
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining efficiency.
- Willingness to work exclusively outdoors/in greenhouses in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members.
