Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 309A Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within industrial and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe operations across various projects, including renovation and construction sites. The 309A Electrician will play a vital role in supporting ongoing electrical infrastructure needs, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing innovative solutions.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately install or repair electrical systems.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using schematics and diagnostic tools, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems.
- Assist with renovation projects by upgrading existing electrical systems or installing new wiring in commercial or industrial facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or system failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Support construction activities by setting up temporary power supplies and ensuring all electrical work adheres to project specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including repairs, upgrades, and system modifications.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or similar role with a strong background in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams essential for accurate troubleshooting and installation.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and industrial electrical equipment required for daily tasks.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical schematics is highly desirable.
- Experience working on renovation projects or construction sites involving electrical upgrades or new installations preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety standards.
- Additional handyman experience or general construction knowledge is a plus for versatile project support. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects requiring technical expertise in electrical systems while ensuring safety and efficiency across operations.
Pay: $40.00-$48.00 per hour
