Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Painter to join our residential painting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to various areas like trims, doors and baseboards, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This role requires extensive knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Operate spray painting equipment with precision to apply coatings evenly
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assist in surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow safety procedures related to handling paints, solvents, and equipment to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks as required within the production process
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and mixing paint formulations
- Support lean manufacturing practices by adhering to standardized work procedures and minimizing waste
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of high end spray experience needed - this is a must
- Must own spray machine and basic tools
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools
- Must have extensive experience in high end spray finishes, paints and products
- Must have extensive experience in prep ; caulking, filling and sanding
- Must have extensive experience in new construction painting in Vancouver
We are looking for a full time professional individual who is looking to have consistent work. Candidates must be available to start right away.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
