Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Community Marketer to join our Tutor Doctor Burlington team.
As a Community Marketer, you will be the face of Tutor Doctor in the local community. You will be responsible for building awareness, generating local interest, and helping us connect with families through door-to-door community outreach and lawn sign placement.
This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, confident, self-motivated, and comfortable speaking with homeowners and community members.
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach and Sign Placement
- Conduct door-to-door outreach in residential neighbourhoods to request permission to place Tutor Doctor lawn signs.
- Confidently and professionally introduce yourself to homeowners and explain the purpose of the visit.
- Place marketing signs in approved, high-visibility locations while following local guidelines and brand standards.
- Track sign locations, homeowner permissions, and daily activity accurately.
Brand Representation
- Represent Tutor Doctor in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner at all times.
- Answer basic questions from homeowners and community members about Tutor Doctor services.
- Create positive first impressions that build trust and goodwill within the community.
- Help increase local awareness of Tutor Doctor services.
Activity Tracking and Feedback
- Maintain accurate records of doors knocked, signs placed, and time spent in the field.
- Share observations and feedback from the field to help improve outreach strategies and materials.
- Follow established processes and expectations for consistency and accountability.
Qualifications and Traits
- Comfortable with door-to-door community outreach and speaking with homeowners one-on-one.
- Outgoing, personable, and confident speaking with people you do not know.
- Polite, respectful, and able to handle a variety of homeowner responses professionally.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented when tracking activity and results.
- Comfortable being outdoors and on your feet for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including daytime and early evening hours.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
