Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment to ensure smooth operations across our facility. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and technical expertise are highly valued.
Duties:
- Perform routine inspections on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
- Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, gears, bearings, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and recommend solutions
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize downtime
Experience:
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance
- Familiarity with using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience operating power tools safely and efficiently in a maintenance setting
- Prior experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments is preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to facilitate repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety consciousnes.
Requirements:
- Needs to know English or French
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an automobile mechanic
- Drivers licence is an asset
- Must have their own toolbox
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
