We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and hardworking Lot Attendant / Vehicle Detail & Car Wash Associate to join our team.
Position Summary
The Lot Attendant plays an essential role in the daily operations of the dealership. This position is responsible for ensuring our inventory is clean, organized, properly displayed, and ready for sale or customer delivery. The successful candidate takes pride in maintaining the appearance of the dealership while supporting both the Sales and Service departments.
Responsibilities
Vehicle Appearance
- Wash, dry, and vacuum new, used, and customer vehicles.
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery.
- Ensure showroom and display vehicles remain spotless.
- Perform final quality inspections before customer deliveries.
- Remove stickers, transport wrap, and protective coverings from new vehicles.
Lot Management
- Organize and maintain dealership inventory.
- Park vehicles according to dealership standards.
- Ensure vehicles are front-line ready at all times.
- Move vehicles safely between departments, storage locations, fuel stations, and detail areas.
- Maintain accurate key control procedures.
Inventory Support
- Assist with incoming vehicle inspections.
- Install license plate brackets and dealer plates.
- Ensure vehicles have proper window stickers and pricing.
- Report vehicle damage or maintenance concerns immediately.
- Help maintain photo-ready inventory.
Service Support
- Wash customer vehicles after service appointments.
- Shuttle vehicles between departments when required.
- Assist technicians and advisors with vehicle movement.
- Keep wash bays and work areas clean and organized.
Dealership Appearance
- Maintain cleanliness of the lot, customer parking areas, and vehicle displays.
- Assist with seasonal lot maintenance, including snow removal around vehicles and walkways.
- Keep equipment, hoses, and detailing supplies organized.
- Support dealership events and vehicle displays as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
