Key responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for industrial processes
- Develop HMI interfaces and alarm management strategies aligned with ISA-18.2 standards
- Conduct loop tuning, process optimization, and performance benchmarking
- Interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrumentation drawings
- Perform field commissioning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site acceptance testing (SAT)
- Troubleshoot control system faults, instrumentation failures, and network issues
- Document control narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, and functional design specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations (IEC 61511, NFPA 70)
- Support project teams with control system scoping, cost estimation, and scheduling
- Participate in hazard reviews (HAZOP, SIL assessments) and process safety management activities
Required qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering / Technology
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with industrial control systems
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider Electric)
- Experience with SCADA platforms (iFIX, Wonderware, Ignition, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of process instrumentation (transmitters, valves, analyzers)
- Working knowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical drawing
