Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to specifications.
- Supervise and lead site workers, delegating tasks and monitoring performance to maintain efficiency.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor construction quality, ensuring all work meets design specifications and industry standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including labor, materials, progress, and incidents, and submit reports as required.
- Identify and resolve unexpected challenges or delays, coordinating solutions with project managers and relevant teams.
- Oversee the use of tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient utilization and timely delivery of resources.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, permits, and regulations, and communicate changes to plans or specifications effectively.
- Plan and adjust work schedules to accommodate project progress or delays, coordinating with subcontractors to align timelines.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Carpenter
- 1-3 years experience in supervisory or leadership role in construction
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read spreadsheets and construction plans
- Proficiency with basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
Work Week: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm (Friday’s Off); If working out of town, the work week will typically be 8 days on and 6 days off.
Work Location: Primarily out of town
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 per year
