We are currently looking for someone with full availability, especially evenings and weekends, to join our Front of House team as a Bartender/Server.
From our humble home-brewing beginnings in a garage on Gladstone Avenue in Victoria, BC, Gladstone Brewing Co. has grown into a gathering place for the Comox Valley — built around collaboration, creativity, craft beer, and community. Job Details:
- Serving wage at current provincial standard with participation in tip pool
- Full-time, permanent position
- Evening and weekend availability required
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver warm, enthusiastic, and professional service to every guest
- Bartend and serve tables with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Maintain strong knowledge of Gladstone Brewing Co. products, seasonal features, cocktails, food menu, and beverage offerings
- Educate guests on beer styles, tasting notes, cocktail features, and menu recommendations
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate effectively with the kitchen and team
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring a high-quality guest experience
- Keep the bar, dining room, patio, and service areas clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Follow opening, closing, cleaning, and side duty procedures
- Monitor guest experience and help create a fun, welcoming environment
- Handle busy service periods with professionalism and positivity
- Assist with restocking coolers, kegs, glassware, and supplies
- Help maintain a safe and respectful environment for guests and staff
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Serving It Right Certificate
- Minimum 2–3 years hospitality experience
- Bartending experience considered a strong asset
- Craft beer knowledge is an asset, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter most
- Cocktail experience considered an asset
- Cicerone certification considered a strong asset
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and in a fast-paced environment
