We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on product offerings, and ensure a welcoming environment. This role requires a strong understanding of cannabis products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly valued to serve our diverse clientele. The Budtender will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product effects, usage, and safety guidelines
- Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Manage inventory levels through filing and stock replenishment
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to cannabis sales and documentation
- Assist with basic computer operation tasks such as data entry, Microsoft Office applications, and Microsoft Excel reporting
- Support store operations by managing time effectively and maintaining organizational skills
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Multilingual skills, particularly in English and French, are highly desirable for serving a diverse customer base
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and upsell products effectively
- Basic math skills for transactions and inventory management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for stock movement or display setup
- Demonstrated organizational skills with experience in merchandising and filing processes
- Leadership qualities are a plus for assisting team members and managing busy periods
