Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to support the kitchen team
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Support food safety protocols and proper handling of ingredients
- Ensure all food is prepared according to quality standards and presentation guidelines
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling when required
- Provide excellent guest services by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy periods, including serving customers when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of customer service principles and guest relations
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification if required
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is a plus but not mandatory
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism
