ACME Education is currently seeking experienced Math and Science tutors to provide one-on-one and group instruction to students of all ages and levels. As a Math and Science tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels, providing individualized instruction and helping them develop a deep understanding of these important subjects.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in Mathematics, Science, or a related field, as well as at least 1 year of tutoring experience in these subjects. B.C. Certified Teacher is an asset.
- You should have a strong understanding of math and science concepts, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, and a commitment to ongoing professional development are also essential for success in this role.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Assessing the student's level of understanding: You need to evaluate the student's current knowledge of the subject, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and determine the best approach to teaching them.
- Developing learning plan: Based on the student's strengths and weaknesses, you should develop a personalized learning plan that meets their specific needs and goals.
- Monitoring progress: You should regularly evaluate the student's progress and adjust the teaching approach as needed to ensure that the student is making progress towards their goals.
- Giving feedback: You should provide constructive feedback to the student, highlighting areas where they need to improve and praising them for their achievements.
- Encouraging and motivating the student: You should motivate the student to continue learning and build their confidence by encouraging them to ask questions and praising their efforts and progress.
- Keeping records: You should maintain accurate records of the student's progress, including notes on their strengths and weaknesses, and any relevant assessment results.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
