Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding skills, mechanical knowledge, and electrical experience to perform high-quality welds and support facility maintenance. This role offers opportunities for leadership and supervision, making it suitable for candidates with supervisory experience or those looking to advance their careers in manufacturing and facilities management. The position is full-time and paid, with a focus on safety, precision, and teamwork.
Morning Shift - 7.30 am to 4 pm
Responsibilities
- Perform various welding operations using different techniques to fabricate, repair, or modify metal components according to schematics and technical drawings
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure accurate welding procedures
- Support facilities maintenance by troubleshooting and repairing equipment using electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during welding projects or maintenance tasks
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control manufacturing processes
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards
- Provide customer service by addressing internal client needs related to equipment repairs or modifications
Skills
- Proven welding expertise with the ability to perform various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Electrical experience relevant to troubleshooting electrical components and systems
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in a manufacturing or maintenance setting
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation
- Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance, safety protocols, and troubleshooting procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team collaboration and documentation
- Customer service orientation with the ability to address internal client needs effectively
