Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to optimize flavor profiles and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Support food preparation activities such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, stoves, and other appliances.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during service hours.
- Assist with catering events or special functions as needed.
- Follow all food safety regulations and health codes to ensure a safe dining experience for guests.
- Serve dishes with attention to presentation, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant settings.
- Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, meal preparation, and food handling expertise.
- Experience with menu planning, food safety standards, and fine dining service is preferred.
- Knowledge of food service operations, catering, and serving techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods.
- A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
