We are looking for a reliable and organized Studio Production Assistant with strong Logic Pro skills to assist with music production, arranging, MIDI editing, sound design, mixing, studio organization, and live performance preparation.
This is an in-person position based in Surrey and is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and creative aspects of music production.
Responsibilities
- Work in Logic Pro to record, edit, and organize music projects.
- Organize existing MIDI files, audio recordings, and project sessions.
- Assist with arranging and developing musical ideas.
- Play keyboard to record or demonstrate musical parts when needed.
- Program virtual instruments, synthesizers, and software instruments.
- Create and edit sounds, pads, textures, and other production elements.
- Mix and prepare songs to a professional standard.
- Maintain an organized studio, project files, backups, and templates.
- Help set up and test equipment for recording sessions.
- Assist with preparing sounds, backing tracks, and technical setup for live performances and concerts.
- Help troubleshoot studio hardware and software when required.
- Support general studio operations and ongoing music production projects.
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Logic Pro.
- Comfortable playing keyboard.
- Experience with MIDI programming and virtual instruments.
- Good understanding of music production, arranging, and mixing.
- Familiarity with audio interfaces, microphones, MIDI controllers, and studio equipment.
- Organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Experience with any of the following is an asset:
- Sound design
- Cinematic or ambient music production
- Orchestral libraries (Kontakt, Spitfire, etc.)
- Synth programming
- Live performance playback systems
- Concert or stage audio setup
- Video editing or content creation (an asset but not required)
