Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, cash handling, and efficient service to enhance guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued. The Bartender will play a key role in maintaining the bar’s cleanliness, adhering to food safety standards, and delivering exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and hospitality.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and adherence to legal requirements.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, beverages, and utensils.
- Comply with all food handling regulations and safety protocols.
- Assist in setting up the bar for service and closing procedures at the end of shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly following legal regulations.
- Effective communication skills to interact clearly with customers and team members.
