Summary of Position
Performs duties of a teacher assistant to provide continuity of day-to-day responsibilities with students during the absence of the full-time teacher or teacher's assistant. To provide a caring and supportive environment in partnership with the other teachers in the classroom, which addresses the unique individual needs of children.
The Supply Teacher is to ensure their classroom is following proper school practices and is aligned with the Policies and Procedures of Glen Abbey Montessori School.

Requirements for Employment:
- Must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Must have experience working with children from 3 to 6
- Must be open to learning more about the Montessori theory of education
- Must have an up-to-date immunization record or a notarized letter of medical exemption
- Must have proof of completion of a 2-step TB skin test or clear chest X-ray
- Must have a clear vulnerable sector check completed within the last 6 months
- Must have a valid First Aid and CPR-C certificate
