Your Opportunity:
The MRT II operates in one or more specialized, highly technical environments, including Computerized Tomography (CT) and Angiography. This role involves assessing patients, analyzing and interpreting diagnostic data, and providing critical information to the Radiologist to support diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management. Services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and safely with limited supervision. As a key member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, the MRT II is responsible for working all assigned shifts, including on-call rotations.
Description:
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of CAMRT Continuing Education courses in Computed Tomography (CT) and/or Interventional Radiology (IR). Demonstrated experience in the relevant imaging modality. General proficiency with computer systems and imaging software. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage responsibilities independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proven ability to work independently while promoting teamwork and cooperation. High level of perception, initiative, and judgment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Demonstrates tact and courtesy in interactions with patients, staff, and physicians. Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in emergency situations. Adheres to radiation safety protocols and practices effective radiation protection. IV Certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
CAMRT CTIC certificate. Minimum 2 years of CT experience.
