Our client, a leading national business law firm, is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to join its collaborative Vancouver office. This position offers the opportunity to support a busy corporate practice working on a variety of commercial transactions, business matters, and related legal operations.

Open, maintain, and close client files in accordance with firm procedures

Collect and organize client information, including compliance and onboarding documentation

Manage lawyer calendars, meetings, contact databases, and bring-forward systems

Coordinate mail, courier packages, and file administration tasks

Prepare expense reports and trust-related documentation
-
Communicate professionally with clients and external contacts

Respond to and direct incoming phone and email inquiries

Draft, edit, format, and proofread correspondence, agreements, reports, forms, and other legal documents

Coordinate execution and collection of transaction documents
-
Assist with closing processes and preparation of digital closing materials

Conduct corporate, land title, and related searches

Organize and maintain transaction records and supporting documentation

Prepare work-in-progress reports, pre-bills, and client invoices
-
Review billing information for accuracy and completeness

Distribute invoices and save billing records to client files
-
Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances as required

Prepare documentation related to trust transactions and invoice payments
-
Provide cross-coverage and administrative support to other legal assistants as required

Assist with general office and reception coverage on an occasional basis

Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented work environment

Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably supporting a Corporate or Business Law practice

Experience supporting Commercial Real Estate, Employment, or related practice areas is considered an asset

Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent education and experience

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document formatting

Experience with legal practice management and document management systems is an asset

Familiarity with corporate and land title searches is considered an advantage
