Montessori Educator – Casa Program
Full-Time | Year-Round Position | September 2026 Start
Join a school where educators truly enjoy teaching.
Oakleigh Montessori is a small, boutique Montessori school located in Fonthill, Ontario. Since opening our doors, we have built a warm and welcoming school community where children, families, and educators genuinely enjoy being together.
We are currently seeking a passionate Montessori Educator or Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our Casa classroom for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced Montessori Directress with more than 25 years of experience. Whether you are an experienced educator or newer to Montessori, you will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and become an important part of our close-knit team.
At Oakleigh, you’ll have the opportunity to slow down, connect with children, and focus on quality over quantity in a thoughtfully prepared Montessori environment. Our classrooms are intentionally calm, organized, and respectful. Children are taught to care for their environment by completing one activity at a time and returning materials before choosing something new, creating a peaceful rhythm that allows both children and educators to thrive.
We’re not just looking for someone to fill a position—we’re looking for someone who wants to become part of our school family. Someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with children, collaborating with a supportive team, and coming to work each day knowing they’re valued.
Why Oakleigh?
We know there are many childcare positions available. Here is what makes Oakleigh different:
- No staff turnover
- A close-knit, supportive team that truly feels like a family
- A small Casa classroom with a maximum of 12 children
- The opportunity to work alongside and learn from a Montessori Directress with more than 25 years of experience
- Consistent daytime hours of either 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- No evenings, split shifts, extremely early mornings, or unpredictable scheduling
- A beautiful, newly opened school with new furniture, Montessori materials, and thoughtfully selected classroom furnishings
- Supportive leadership and strong relationships with our families
- Competitive compensation based on education, qualifications, and experience
- Regular field trips and community outings throughout the year
- A spacious outdoor environment on a beautifully treed, one-third-acre property
Our field trips take place approximately every four to six weeks and may include experiences such as visiting a tree farm to cut down a Christmas tree for our classrooms, Bird Kingdom, the Butterfly Conservatory, conservation areas, and other local destinations. Parents and family members are often invited to join us, making these outings enjoyable and well supported for both the children and our team.
Our large outdoor space is surrounded by mature trees that provide natural shade and plenty of room for children to run, explore, play, and connect with nature.
If you have been feeling stretched by large class sizes, frequent staffing changes, or the fast pace of traditional childcare, Oakleigh offers something different. We believe great educators do their best work when they feel supported, valued, and have the time to build meaningful relationships with children.
