Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential, new construction, and service work. The Journeyman Electrician will work well independently on diverse projects that require technical expertise, precision, and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform electrical work on residential or commercial sites.
- Conduct renovations and upgrades of existing electrical systems in accordance with project specifications.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques; perform repairs as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent hazards related to electrical work; ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for record-keeping and future reference.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification.
- Proven experience as a residential electrician or in a similar role within construction or renovation projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical work.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical installations and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Physical ability to work in various environments, including heights or confined spaces if necessary.
