Position SummaryThe Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, adjustment, troubleshooting, and servicing of custom security door systems at customer sites throughout the GTA.The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong technical abilities, leadership qualities, and the ability to work independently. This role requires someone who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively with customers and coworkers, and consistently delivers high-quality installations.Key Responsibilities
- Install custom aluminum folding and rolling security door systems.
- Read and interpret drawings, installation instructions, and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and determine effective solutions on site.
- Perform service calls, repairs, and adjustments as required.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and project managers.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition.
- Complete installation reports and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, installation, glazing, doors and hardware, aluminum systems, or a related trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
- Excellent analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
