Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment such as:
- Conveyors
- Overhead and transfer systems
- Robotic systems
- Industrial controls
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- PLCs (Ladder Logic)
- VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
- Motor controls
- Safety sensors and relays
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Bearings, gears, and drives
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce production downtime.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario or Interprovincial Electrician certification:
- 442A Industrial Electrician, or
- 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician, or
- Red Seal Electrician
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed electrician.
- Experience with:
- PLC troubleshooting
- Industrial automation
- VFDs and motor controls
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Preventive maintenance programs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
