Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to develop personalized treatment plans
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental equipment is properly sanitized
- Keep detailed records of patient treatments using dental management software such as Dentrix
- Support pediatric patients and communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure understanding of procedures and care instructions
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus, providing flexibility in clinical support roles
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to safety protocols
Pay: $38.62-$61.60 per hour
