Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable, professional, and experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, has strong troubleshooting skills, and can deliver seamless audio, video, and lighting experiences for live events.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and dismantle professional audio visual equipment for live events.
- Operate professional sound systems, including digital audio mixers and wireless microphone systems.
- Set up and operate projectors, TVs, projection screens, presentation systems, and video equipment.
- Program and operate lighting using Onyx lighting software.
- Troubleshoot audio, video, and lighting issues quickly and efficiently during live events.
- Ensure events are executed professionally and on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with clients, venue staff, presenters, and event coordinators.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company with excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in live event audio visual production.
- Strong knowledge of professional audio systems and digital mixers.
- Experience with video projection, presentation systems, and display equipment.
- Experience programming and operating Onyx lighting software.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
- Knowledge of DMX lighting and signal flow.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
The following are considered assets:
- Experience with corporate events, conferences, weddings, and galas.
- Knowledge of networking for AV systems.
- Experience working independently as a lead technician.
