About the Role

We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support and strengthen the company’s occupational health and safety program across multiple operational regions.
The role works closely with operations leadership and trades employees to ensure regulatory compliance, manage safety reporting, and support injury prevention and return-to-work processes in a field-based trades environment.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently, build practical safety processes, and maintain strong relationships with supervisors and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety Regulation and applicable legislation.
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Track and report safety metrics including incidents, near misses, and lost-time injuries.
- Support supervisors with WorkSafeBC claims management, modified duties, and return-to-work coordination.
- Maintain safety documentation, reporting systems, and regulatory records.
- Manage contractor safety reporting requirements, including ISNetworld (ISN).
- Conduct hazard assessments, risk evaluations, and regular site visits to support safe work practices.
- Develop and maintain safe work procedures, safety policies, training programs, and facilitate JOHSC meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of occupational health and safety experience, preferably in construction, mechanical, HVAC, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation and reporting requirements.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and hazard assessments.
- Experience supporting WorkSafeBC claims management and return-to-work processes.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and build effective relationships with supervisors and field technicians.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to regional sites.
Preferred
- Occupational Health & Safety certificate or diploma
- CRSP or NCSO designation (or in progress).
- Experience with COR audits or contractor safety platforms such as ISNetworld.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
