Primary Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret welding drawings, specifications, manuals and procedures
- Fit- up and welding of structural steel and of varying sizes and thicknesses
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet the company’s standards and/or specifications
- Help in different production processes
- Regularly report on current project status to direct superior
- Communicate with Quality Control team members ensuring highest level of standards are met
Required Skills:
- Some experience in Welding/Fitting using various welding and cutting equipment
- Ability to read and interpret equipment and fabrication drawings
- Safety oriented, observing proper lifting techniques and safe use of all equipment
- Able to work well under pressure while striving to meet commitments to clients
- High attention to detail in all areas of work with an ability to communicate both in writing and verbally
- Quality focused approach to work
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse setting, with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and temperature variations.
- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots may be required.
- May involve overtime, and occasional weekend hours to support production schedules.
