VP Protection Inc. is looking for experienced individuals who want to be part of our command centre's growing team.
Our security dispatchers are expected to possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Much of your time is spent speaking with guards, clients, alarm companies and the public. They must be detail-oriented to ensure they are relaying the proper information to guards and management as they dispatch calls. Security dispatchers must be strong problem solvers and have superb customer service skills. Must possess the ability to deal with stressful situations and must be a quick thinker.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understanding security and dispatch codes and procedures
Coordinating various personnel for emergency response purposes
Operating radios and communication systems
Operating computers and technical equipment
Handling stressful situations and calming distressed callers
Knowledge of local laws, PSISA regulations and ordnances as well as geographical areas
Maintain daily logs and reports
Scheduling, changes to schedules as they arise. Finding coverage for shifts
Monitors and cameras
Clear understanding of SOP's and Emergency Operating procedures
Gathering of information
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
MUST POSSESS a valid Ontario Security License
Knowledge of security operations
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Be able to work 12 hour night shifts
Full availability
Multi-tasking
CPR/First Aid certification
Type 40 words per minute
Microsoft Office
Police Foundations an asset
911 Dispatch an asset
Fire Panel knowledge
Elevator entrapment knowledge of procedures
Customer service experience
